Tamiya 1/35 British Infantry Tank Mk.IV Churchill Mk.VII – Late-War British Infantry Armour
Tamiya 1/35 British Infantry Tank Mk.IV Churchill Mk.VII – Late-War British Infantry Armour
The British Infantry Tank Mk. IV Churchill Mk. VII represents the most developed wartime version of one of Britain’s most distinctive armoured fighting vehicles. Designed primarily for infantry support, the Churchill prioritises heavy armour protection, trench-crossing capabilities, and reliability across broken terrain rather than outright speed.
The Mk.VII introduced a completely redesigned welded hull and turret, replacing earlier riveted construction. Armour thickness increased significantly, reaching up to 152 mm, while the adoption of the 75 mm gun improved overall battlefield effectiveness. From D-Day onwards, the Churchill Mk. VII became a key asset in British armoured operations across Western Europe.
This Tamiya 1/35 scale plastic model kit focuses on accurate exterior detailing and a balanced level of complexity, making it suitable for modellers interested in late-war British armour without excessive mechanical intricacy.
