Space Crusade — The 1990 MB Games and Games Workshop Classic

Space Crusade was released in 1990 as a collaboration between Milton Bradley and Games Workshop. It translated the Warhammer 40,000 setting into a more accessible board-game format built around Space Marine squads entering hostile spacecraft and facing Orks, Chaos forces, Androids and Genestealers.

The original game was designed for two to four players and combined Citadel miniatures with modular game boards, cards, dice, doors, tokens, mission material and other physical components.

Advanced Space Crusade Is a Separate Game

Advanced Space Crusade was also released in 1990, but it is a separate Games Workshop board game rather than simply a deluxe edition of Space Crusade.

It centres on Space Marine Scouts entering a Tyranid hive ship and includes Tyranid Warriors and other different components.

If you are restoring an original Space Crusade set, do not assume an Advanced Space Crusade miniature, board section or card is automatically a replacement for the equivalent item you need.
